But victory without scars eventually felt hollow.

After witnessing veterans like Bang, Atomic Samurai, and Garou fight with nothing but their bodies and will, Hikaru began to question what “heroism” meant when it came without risk. The praise that once fueled him turned into poison the day he overheard a fellow hero mutter:

“He’s just a kid with toys.”

He disbanded his laboratory, left the Hero Association, and vanished from public eye. For months, rumors spread — until he was seen again in an underground MMA gym, barefoot, bruised, and training silently among adults twice his size.
