Hi I take it you mean the rooms and DM on the left of the screen ?
Have you tried changing the settings, there you can change themes and colours and also turn off or turn on the dark mode. Click the setting wheel on the left hand side and you will see various options are available for you in the chat interface, hope that helps.

Sorry, I meant the join/unjoin list - not the chat font of the channel #mars
