There are basically two ways you can add pictures. The easiest one is just using pictures you’ve already uploaded to your gallery. It’ll show up as a little thumbnail and people can just click on it if they wanna see the full-size version.
The other option is if you want the picture to actually show up full-size in the text, or if you wanna use an animated GIF. For that you’ll need to upload the picture or GIF somewhere else first, like an image hosting site. Once it’s uploaded, you copy the direct URL (ending with .png for example) to the image and paste that into the editor.
To expand on this, there are a few hosting platforms, some of which are free and all of which seem to have pro's and con's (many of us remember the Great Discord Disaster, where they suddenly shut down hosting and all our stories were suddenly graphics-free). I use https://imgbb.com/ but if anyone has a better suggestion, I'm listening.
I've noticed that some stories have enlarged images, rather than thumb nail images that you have to click on. Would anyone have a set of directions as to how this is done?
